Collection: TRACES OF EXISTENCE

Traces of Existence

A glimpse into realms where emotion and memory collide. These paintings explore how we perceive what lies just out of reach - dreams, fears, and fragments of something larger than ourselves.

Textured Realism

I call my style Textured Realism - because that’s what it is: quiet and reduced on the surface, but full of depth and detail underneath. Each piece begins with a textured foundation: I build it up using paste, glazes, and translucent pigments.

I smear, scratch, wash things out, then start again. It’s a slow, intuitive process. Often, I don’t know what the painting wants to become until it’s nearly done.

But I’ve learned to trust that space of not-knowing to leave room for surprise. At some point, I place a small, almost realistic figure or momentinto the scene.

The moment I paint its shadow, something shifts. The image suddenly gains depth. It feels like a tiny world has opened up. And we, as viewers, look in from above, like quiet observers of a moment frozen in time.

For me, it’s about distilling emotion down to its core:

How little does it take to move someone?

What remains when you remove the noise?

My paintings don’t tell stories. They invite you to step in and feel your own.
